AT&T vs. 4chan. 4chan wins, AT&T calls cease fire.
As many of you might know, AT&T blocked parts of 4chan yesterday. This is almost the same as going into a polar bear cave and kicking a polar bear in the stomach. 4chan is known for hacking, pranking, and rickrolling people on the internet. Hours later, 4chan members started to attack AT&T, as well as starting a rumor saying that AT&T’s CEO is dead with the intention of lowering the stock prices.
At this point, AT&T probably realized that it’s a bad move and unblocked 4chan, calling truth. However, is this the end of the internet war? Or is this just a short cease fire? 4chan’s Project AT&T Forum stated that:
AT&T has lifter their ban. All rioting/’war’/protests have been suspended for the time being.
As AT&T still seems to be on the trending topic on twitter, KKSNetwork will continue to track this story as more info comes along.
On a somewhat related note, 4chan is currently under DDoS attack, not sure if it is related.
