BadApple, How I’m disappointed and still going to buy one.
Sorry for the no updates peeps! I had a very busy week. Anyways, I would summarize how I’m very disappointed in Apple’s 09-09-09 announcement.
First off, Apple released iTunes 9 with some more bloat feature which I won’t get into, because you probably know this stuff any ways. Apple also released the “3rd gen” iPod Touch, which is really the 2nd gen with a price drop.
I was watching the live blog from the lovely and talented GDGT when the Apple event is taking place. I was very excited when Steve Jobs said that there is an one more thing. I thought that this is definitely the new iPod Touch camera and mic; however, I was completely wrong about it. People were pretty much shocked, and So am I.
This whole event is basically a “look at that stupid cloud” kinda thing. Apple knows that everyone will be shocked that the iPod touch won’t come with a camera. We all know it’s because of that bullsh!t camera that somehow broke on the iTouch. Apple isn’t brave enough to call off the event and go home. Seriously? A camera on the iPod Nano but not the iPod Touch? What the F? That’s gotta be the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. The iPod Nano doesn’t even have a big enough screen, not to mention the weird positioning of the camera on the Nano and the lacking of the ability to take still picture.
For all you iFans out there, if you want to justify the cost of yet another iPod Touch, here is some good news. Apple has apparently included the new 802.11n standard into the 3rd gen iPod Touch, but they haven’t switched on the ability to use it. <sarcasm>Pretty exciting stuff, right?</sarcasm>
I’ll just buy the older iPod touch which is liquidizing at $199.95 here in Canada, while the same capacity cost $219.

Apple had never mentioned a touch with a camera, so you shouldn’t be disappointed about that. Apple can’t do anything about bloggers posting rumor all over the internet. Speaking of rumor, word is that the already produced new camera touch units had all deffect cameras and have to be fixed/replaced, but they had to delay the official announcement as they couldn’t fix them on time. Most likely the new touch will be announced at the next event, maybe when the rumored tablet (if it actually exists) will ever be released.
