It seems that the media has a love affair with that peice of technological garbage called twitter. Just look at Cnn.com’s search results

• Twitter=399 results
• Foreclosure=353 results
• Sotomayor= 153 results
• Honduras President = 217 results
• Somalian Pirates= 12 results
• Tea Party= 362 results
• Billy Mays= 6 results
• Samoa Tsunami= 16 results

But why? Also, another thing that I notice with the mainstream media is that on important issues they often go to twitter to find out what we think. Since when did our worthless opinions matter? Now mabey if the average tweeter knew how to spell, then perhaps it might be a good tool, but half the comments are:

LOLZ OB4MA IS A KENYAAN COMiE!1!!!!! RON PAUL REVELUTON!!!!1111 NO HELTH CAR!!!!!

or this:

Obama is a god among men, all hail his mighty Democratic Party!!!

Now obviously it’s not quite that bad, but you get the idea.

Twitter is a useless technology, and a waste of bandwidth. The media should stop talking about it, as it just spreads the cancer. Twitter should be wiped off of the face of the internet!
