The Pirate Bay Updates: Shutdown, and back online.

The Swedish Courts ordered the shutdown of The Pirate Bay. The ISP that provided most of TPB’s bandwidth stop the service. People thought it was the end of TPB, but not for long.

Tr.im goes open source. WTF?

Recently, an URL shortener named “Tr.im” announced that they are going to break the internet by shutting down the service. After a couple of days, they back track that statement and claim that they will not shutdown Tr.im Now, Tr.im has gone open source. Nice strategy to stay in the news, Tr.im. It worked.

Apple is building a massive data center that no one knows what it’s for

Apple is planning to build a 46000 square meter (500 000 square feet) data center somewhere in North Carolina. The catch is that no one know what it’s used for. This data center will also be among the largest data center in the world, as most data centers do not pass 20000 square meters (200 000 square feet {estimates}).
